Luttrell Psalter (1320-1340) Windmill
Dublin Core
Title
Luttrell Psalter (1320-1340) Windmill
Description
Similar to the Watermill illustration, this grotesque depicts another building that was common in medieval England. The scene depicts several peasants, one on a horse and two carrying grain from the mill, as well as a dog. It’s possible that Sir Geoffrey wanted to include this scene to showcase some of the people who worked for him on his estate.
